Question for Support: Stems‏

I am interested in getting a stem for my mountain bike and wanted to know the difference between the Matrix F and Matrix II. Also, what does bore diameter mean and why two different measurements? It is my intention to get one of your carbon forks (Code CC-F0225) and do you recommend one bore measurement over the other?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

The Matrix F stem has carbon reinforcement all over its surface including the handle bar clamp, face plate and steerer tube clamp. The Matrix II stem is carbon reinforced along its central portion.

The bore diameter refers to the handle bar diameter at the clamp. For oversize handlebars use 31.8mm, and for normal size bars use 25.4mm.

Thanks
