What's the best way to cut the carbon steerer on your fork to length please?

Hi
We recommend a good quality saw guide and a hack saw with at least 32 teeth per inch (TPI), or use a saw guide and diamond rod blade.
You can reduce carbon dust by applying water to the blade. To prevent chipping, cut with light pressure in the forward direction only. Finish off with a fine emery cloth.
If in any doubt please get the job done by a qualified mechanic.
Thanks

Actually the best way is to get a pipe disc cutter, so much easier and you can get a perfect cylindrical shape. Apply a little pressure in a few revolution to avoid the carbon from breaking.
The pipe disc cutter is easily available in hardware shops and it's cheap. You don't need any water or lubricant as it does not produce much heat and does not cut very aggresively like in a saw or hack saw.
