Bought a pair of carbon fork & the superlight top cap. The problem is that the design of the top cap is such that it means that it is impossible to get any preload on the headset bearings. |

Hi
Can you describe the difficulty you are having please. The product is intended for this use, has been thoroughly tested and is even patented.
Thanks |

The cap will not allow any preload to be added to the headset/stem, the part that is supposed to grip the inside of the dteerer simply slips up the steerer.
I have now bought an FSA one, at a cost of £13.95 an it works perfectly.
The design of your component prevents preload being added. |

I can assure you it doesn't.
I am a design engineer for a top F1 team and the mechanics of this parts are all wrong if it is ment to act in the same manner as a star nut. |

Hi
Well, if you are a design engineer for a top F1 team (which one?) I wont argue with you, and it is nice to know that you like our products (except this).
On the other hand we still havent had anyone else come back to us or post here to say they have a similar problem.
We will keep an eye on it though
If you still can't get the product to work, please send it back for a refund.
Thanks |
