We are super excited to support Mike Ellicock in his ambitious South Downs Double record attempt later this year. His target is to do the 200-mile long route, which has more than 22,000 ft of climbing and 200 gates in less than 15:35h, which is the current record. Mike is no stranger to setting himself extreme challenges, and he holds the Guinness World Record for Marathon with a pack - 2:56h.
To get his bike in perfect shape for his attempt he will be using our full carbon monocoque fork, which combines low weight, steering precision and compliance as well as a long list of other CarbonCycles and DiscoBrakes components (rotors, brake pads, seat post, stem and handlebar).

Great effort by Mike Ellicock in his attempt to break the South Downs Double record which stands at 15:35h.
Mike went out on the 1st of May on his CarbonCycles and Discobrakes kitted out rigid bike and put down an amazing time of 15:55h, making him the 2nd fastest rider along the 200-mile long route.

Check out Mike's bike featuring our eXotic monocoque full carbon fork, as well as carbon seat post bars and eXotic stem. Braking was supported by our AirTech rotors and copper-free disc brake pads.
